Ambient Temperature Sensor-PT1000 with Modbus Output – 3S-AT-PT1000-MB
Ambient Temperature Sensor measures the air temperature in the environment where the PVs are placed in degrees Celsius (°C) by using by using a PT1000 probe. This Ambient Temperature Sensor Model is compatible with all Dataloggers and PLCs with RS485 input port. It is supplied with mounting facility, and protected from direct sunlight & radiations by a plastic radiation shield with four aspirated plates that allow the air to pass freely.
The ambient temperature sensor is a device used for measuring the ambient temperature. Using a PT1000 probe, it measures the air temperature in the environment where PV systems are installed, in degrees Celsius (°C). The product is protected by a UV-resistant radiation shield, preventing it from being affected by direct sunlight. It is specifically designed for PV plant monitoring systems in compliance with IEC 60751:2022 and IEC 61724-1:2021 standards.
3S-AT-PT1000-MB sensors are professional, intelligent measuring devices with a digital interface, designed for environmental and industrial applications such as PV plants. The measured values are transmitted to monitoring devices, data loggers, and other receiving units via the RS485 serial interface using the Modbus RTU protocol.
Ambient temperature is one of the main factors that directly affect the performance of solar panels. For example, as the ambient temperature increases, the cell temperature also rises, leading to a reduction in the generated energy. In addition, variables such as air density and wind speed influence heat transfer, making ambient temperature measurement a critical parameter in PV system efficiency analysis.
