Weather Monitoring Station of GoodWe
Nowadays, weather monitoring stations have been more widely used in photovoltaic power plants, making them particularly useful for monitoring the performance of solar stations.
GoodWe, as a manufacturer of monitoring systems, provides a datalogger, called EZlogger, which is a self-developed supervision device that can easily read and record the PV plants Data.
In fact, the weather monitoring station does not only need a datalogger to be completed, it needs also several sensors that must be compatible with the datalogger used. For this reason, SEVEN Sensor Solutions produces a multitude of sensors that record and provide physical measurements and meteorological parameters related to climatic variations. The most requested sensors by customers are the following:
PV pyranometer, with a Modbus RTU output, which is an advanced, weatherproof junction box made of UV-resistant materials. This sensor is constructed from a monocrystalline solar cell connected to a high-precision shunt. The irradiance sensor contains three input ports, so that it can be connected to additional sensors, and an output port connected to the EZlogger via an RS485 cable. Note that it also contains an integrated Module temperature sensor.
Ambient temperature Sensor is very important to see how production is affected by temperature. This sensor is mounted inside a solar radiation shield which has 8 aspirated plates that allow air to pass freely. The shield has the ability to protect the ambient temperature sensor from radiation and other sources of radiant heat.
Module temperature sensor, delivered with a digital output, is covered by a plastic housing with an aluminum plate to protect the obtained data. This sensor is very good as it provides the real time with not much delay. Less delay means better accuracy.
The wind speed sensor, also known as a digital output anemometer, is used to measure wind speed in solar power plants, and to provide the data to the GoodWe EZlogger.
In addition to the sensors listed above, there is also a sensor that can be connected to the GoodWe Ezlogger; The Wind Direction Sensor with an analog output signal, is used for monitoring the direction of the wind and providing the data obtained to the Datalogger.
GoodWe Monitoring Program
The monitoring system starts directly after the installation of the sensors on the solar panel. For this reason, SEVEN Sensor allows its engineers to perform a remote set-up by using the SEMS portal and ProMate.
