GoodWe Compatible Weather Station
SEVEN provides a full set of weather station for Solar Power Plants compatible with Goodwe Ezloggers. It includes different sensors required to monitor the Solar PV Plant using Goodwe monitoring system Promate. Nowadays, weather monitoring stations have been more widely used in photovoltaic power plants, making them particularly useful for monitoring the performance of solar stations.
The Chinese company GoodWe produces inverters and a data logger called Ezlogger that is specifically designed to monitor and manage photovoltaic installations.
GoodWe Ezlogger Pro is connected to the RS485 port using the standard MODBUS-RTU protocol, which is compatible with the majority of weather solutions on the market, since the goal is to find the best solution for monitoring PV systems.
The wind speed, wind direction, ambient temperature, module temperature, and PV reference cell sensors are among the sensors used in the GoodWe weather station.
PV pyranometer, with a Modbus RTU output, which is an advanced, weatherproof junction box made of UV-resistant materials. This sensor is constructed from a monocrystalline solar cell connected to a high-precision shunt. The irradiance sensor contains up to five input ports, so that it can be connected to additional sensors, and an output port connected to the EZlogger via an RS485 cable.
Ambient temperature Sensor is very important to see how production is affected by temperature. This sensor is mounted inside a solar radiation shield which has four aspirated plates that allow air to pass freely. The shield has the ability to protect the ambient temperature sensor from radiation and other sources of radiant heat.
Module temperature sensor, is the most recommended sensor after the irradiance sensor as it provides the back of module temperature value which is used in the calculation of the Performance Ratio of the PV Plant.
Wind speed sensor, also known as an anemometer, is used to measure wind speed in solar power plants, and to provide the data to the GoodWe EZlogger.
Wind Direction Sensor is used for monitoring the direction of the wind and providing the data obtained to the Datalogger.

What is the working principle?
Typically, the system converts the weather data it receives from the sensors into an output signal according to the data logger’s request. It then transmits it to the monitoring system. The data can be transferred to EzLogger Pro via RS485 with Modbus RTU protocol.
