What is the working principle of Solax Weather Station?
The sensor box collects environmnet data from the sensors connected to it. The detected data includes ambient temperature, humidity, module temperature, wind speed and wind direction etc.
The sensor box is connected to one port of datahub by RS485, and datahub can then display the weather data in a dashboard, furthermore to use the data to do smart trigger. The current system datahub model is Datahub 1000, and the firmware version must be V011.00 or any newer version.

What are the components of Solax Power Weather Station?
The standard components of Solax Power weather station include irradiance, module temperature, wind speed, wind direction, relative humidity and ambient temperature sensors.
- Irradiance Sensor or PV Pyranometer, with Modbus RTU output, that measures radiation, is also used as a Reference Cell due to its high measuring accuracy. Taking into consideration that the use of this PV Pyranometer is crucial for measurement in solar applications. It has also up to five input ports for additional sensors, and an output port connected to the Datalogger via a RS485 cable.
- Module Temperature Sensor measures the back of module temperature, used in the calculation of the Performance Ratio of the PV Plant.
- Wind Speed Sensor, also known as Anemometer, is used to measure wind speed in solar power plants, and to provide the data to the Datalogger.
- Wind Direction Sensor is used for monitoring the direction of the wind and providing the data obtained to the Datalogger.
- Relative Humidity & Ambient Temperature Sensor is a transmitter used to measure the relative humidity and ambient temperature.
The Irradiance Sensor is the main sensor and all other sensors are externally connected to the Irradiance Sensor Box. The data collected by the Irradiance Sensor is communicated with the datalogger with a single cable and Modbus RTU communication protocol.
