With more than 35 years of experience, Kehua Tech is a top supplier of energy solutions and power electronics worldwide.

A complete weather station that works with Kehua Tech’s Datalogger E-Manager Pro is provided by Seven Sensor. The daily meteorological data is measured by SEVEN sensors, which enables Kehua Tech’s monitoring system to compute the performance ratio. In order to prevent unforeseen energy loss in the PV plant, the primary goal of building a weather station is to compare the energy that the field really produces with the energy that it should produce.

What are the components of Kehua Tech Weather Station?

The standard components of Kehua Tech weather station include irradiance, module temperature, wind speed, wind direction, relative humidity and ambient temperature sensors.

  • Irradiance Sensor or PV Pyranometer, with Modbus RTU output, that measures radiation, is also used as a Reference Cell due to its high measuring accuracy. Taking into consideration that the use of this PV Pyranometer is crucial for measurement in solar applications. It has also up to five input ports for additional sensors, and an output port connected to the Datalogger via a RS485 cable.
  • Module Temperature Sensor measures the back of module temperature, used in the calculation of the Performance Ratio of the PV Plant.
  • Wind Speed Sensor, also known as Anemometer, is used to measure wind speed in solar power plants, and to provide the data to the Datalogger.
  • Wind Direction Sensor is used for monitoring the direction of the wind and providing the data obtained to the Datalogger.
  • Relative Humidity & Ambient Temperature Sensor is a transmitter used to measure the relative humidity and ambient temperature.

The Irradiance Sensor is the main sensor and all other sensors are externally connected to the Irradiance Sensor Box. The data collected by the Irradiance Sensor is communicated with the datalogger with a single cable and Modbus RTU communication protocol.

What is the Kehua Tech’s Monitoring Platform?

Kehua Tech’s solar inverter monitoring platform is called WiseSolar Plus (WiseSolar+) available as a web portal and as iOS/Android apps for remote monitoring and control.

Its working principle is as follows: A Wi-Fi data logger connects to the inverter, reads inverter data via RS-485, and uploads it to the WiseSolar+ cloud via local Wi-Fi. The logger supports AP+STA concurrent mode and has a built-in web server for local configuration.
